helping habitats thrive
At Olivebox we believe in improving habitats, inside and outside of your home. We do this through donations to wildlife conservation or by minimising consumption by creating simple, well-designed products that are built to last and have a reduced environmental footprint.
Because after all, the world is our habitat; and it’s the only one we’ve got.
our wildlife is in decline, so we’re doing something about it
We've partnered with three non-profits to get to the heart of the problem.
IMPROVING HABITATS
One Tree Planted Foundation
New South Wales is home to some of the most iconic of Australia's wildlife - koalas, wombats, and kangaroos to name a few. One tree Planted are hoping to have the ability to contribute to the restoration of over 6 million trees across Australia in 2021, to help restore some of the 6 million hectares (15 million acres) of bushland burnt from the wildfires last year.
FIGHTING CLIMATE CHANGE
The Great Barrier Reef Foundation
The warming climate is threatening the population of green turtles. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation is dedicated to monitoring reef health, stoppping the flow of pollutants from upstream, pioneering coral IVF and restoring the world’s largest green turtle nesting area on Raine Island.
The largest cleanup in history.
Yep, you're reading this correctly. The Great Ocean Cleanup Project is aiming to clean up 90% of ocean plastic pollution! To achieve this objective, they are working on a combination of closing the source and cleaning up what has already accumulated in the ocean.
This is our 3rd non-profit we are supporting with our 5% of revenue donated, we're so excited for their work and hope you are too!
A little snippet to remind us why the reef is so worth protecting..
Ultimately, they exist to secure a future for the Great Barrier Reef - one of the world’s great natural wonders.
